The Venue
Our wedding will be held at the Donnelly River Village, in the beautiful southwest Karri forest. The venue is a holiday accommodation village set in a historic logging mill town located approximately 25 minutes west of Nannup and 25 minutes east of Bridgetown. There is no town at Donnelly River, only a small general store and cafe.Â
From Friday 8th to Sunday 10th
Accommodation is historic stand-alone logger's cottages with bathrooms and kitchens, which we have already booked for all guests. We have booked accommodation from Friday the 8th to Sunday 10th. Check out is 11 am Sunday.Â
Some Things to Bring
As this is a B.Y.O venue you will need to bring food and drinks for all other meals except dinner and nibbles on Saturday night. You will also need to bring bed linens, towels and pillows.Â
Beer, wine, some cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided on Saturday night, but if you would like any specific drinks, please feel free to bring your own.Â
Walking Distance from the Ceremony
All cottages are within walking distance from that ceremony and reception venues (a few hundred meters, tops) so no additional transportation is required other than travelling to Donnelly River.
No Phone Reception
The venue has no reception (even for Telstra). You will get reception about 5 km up the road towards the highway, but you will not get any at the village.
Children are Welcome
Children are welcome at the ceremony and reception, but please let us know if you are bringing kids so we can factor them into the accommodation!
Aircon (& Dam) Provided
The cottages do not have air conditioning, and it will be hot in January! There is a dam within walking distance to don't forget you bathers.Â
